Project To-Do List

This is my ongoing list of things that need to be fixed in the car:

1. Registration and insurance
2. New tires
3. Fuel tank
1. Flush
2. Restore tank/coat inside?
3. Fix leak
4. Find new sending unit (or clean old one)
5. Reinstall tank
1. find new rubber seal for filler neck
2. clean and brush off rust
3. use non-drying waterproof sealant on tank
4. use gasoline-safe sealant on sending unit
4. Treat/paint inside of trunk
5. Reinstall fuel line to filter
6. Replace fuel line between pump and filter
7. Replace thermostat
8. New points and condenser
9. Plug opening in air filter cover
10. Find rubber seal for air filter cover
11. Replace fan clutch
12. Adjust steering wheel (too much play)
13. Tune-up
1. New points, compressor, plugs, wires
2. Determine why fuel mixture is too rich
14. Inspect and service brakes (they pull hard to the right)
15. Replace fluids and flush systems where possible
1. Oil & filter
2. Brake fluid
3. Clutch fluid
4. Coolant
16. Fix heater (blower works, but no heat)
17. Weatherproofing
1. Figure out where water's getting in, driver's side floor
2. Seal around windshield
3. Windows seals, both rear passenger doors
18. Replace all hoses/lines
1. Radiator
2. Heater
3. Brakes
4. Fuel
5. Vacuum
19. Replace fuel filter
20. Brake lights stay on, brake pedal doesn't return far enough to switch them off (hasn't happened lately)
21. Clean and lubricate locks, latches and hinges
22. New carpet

It seems many of these things may have been done when she came out of storage, but since I couldn't get much info from the seller, my plan is to replace all the fluids, hoses and filters, and have a fresh start.
